Behavioral Health

The Behavioral Health Department at Spring View Hospital serves adults 55 and older experiencing psychiatric symptoms and require 24-hour acute inpatient treatment. This is a secure unit and patients are treated daily by a psychiatric professional. Our program helps adults who are experiencing changes in behavior and/or cognitive functioning as a result of the aging process, adjustment to medication or other transitional issues. 

SPRING VIEW BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • A comprehensive evaluation
  • Individualized treatment plan
  • Daily assessment and treatment by a psychiatric professional
  • Medication management
  • 24-hour nursing services
  • Individual, group and family therapy services
  • Therapeutic recreation services
  • Discharge planning
  • Coordination of follow-up care
  • Assistance with accessing community resources
  • Assistance with placement in an alternative living environment (if necessary)
  • Assistance with emergency orders of detention and/or court commitment
  • Assistance with guardianship, power of attorny and/or advance directives
